Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-26

Brisk (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is designed to protect your privacy. This policy explains what Brisk does — and does not do — with your information.

In short: Brisk does not collect your personal data. Your photos are processed entirely on your device and never leave it.

01On-device processing

All photo analysis — finding duplicates, similar shots, and screenshots, and calculating how much storage you could free — happens entirely on your iPhone. Your photos and videos are never uploaded to us, never sent to any server, and never shared with any third party.

02Photo library access

Brisk asks for permission to access your photo library solely to scan for duplicate, similar, and screenshot images and to estimate how much space you could reclaim. When you choose to remove photos, Brisk uses the standard iOS deletion flow — the system asks you to confirm, and removed items go to your Recently Deleted album, where they remain recoverable. You can change or revoke this permission at any time in the iOS Settings app.

03iCloud sync

The only information Brisk stores outside the app is your own freed-space statistics (for example, your running total of space reclaimed). This is saved in your private iCloud (CloudKit) database, tied to your Apple ID, so it can sync across your own devices. It resides in your personal iCloud account, which we cannot access. This sync is provided by Apple and governed by Apple’s privacy policy. If you are signed out of iCloud, these statistics stay on your device only.

04In-app purchases

Brisk is free to use, with generous free limits (reviewing up to 500 photos and creating up to 3 albums). An optional one-time in-app purchase (“Brisk Unlock”) removes these limits. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment card details or other billing information; Apple processes the transaction and tells the app only whether the purchase is active.

05No tracking, analytics, or ads

Brisk contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. We do not use the App Tracking Transparency framework because we do not track you. We do not build a profile of you or sell any information — because we do not collect any.

06Data we collect

None. Consistent with our App Store privacy declaration, Brisk collects no data from you.

07Children’s privacy

Brisk does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It contains no objectionable content and is suitable for all ages.

08Your control and data retention

Because we do not collect your data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on your behalf. You remain in full control: you can revoke photo access in iOS Settings, delete your freed-space statistics by removing them from your iCloud storage, and remove all app data by deleting Brisk from your device.

09Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected in an app update where appropriate.
